Central Florida CHADD

CHADD (Children & Adults with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder) is the nation’s leading non-profit organization serving children and adults with AD/HD. There are more than 16,000 members and over 200 chapters.

Central Florida CHADD became an official chapter of the national organization in January, 2004. Dr. Grbac is one of the founders of the Central Florida CHADD and continues to be active with this community support group. For several years he assisted in supervising student volunteers which coordinated and maintained the monthly meetings. Dr. Grbac continues to support the local CHADD chapter, and is available for presentations and one-to-one consultations.

Central Florida CHADD holds free meetings one Saturday every month for approximately two hours in length. The meetings consist of a one-hour presentation and one hour for open discussion and member support. Orlando’s most knowledgeable professionals in the field of psychiatry, psychology, social work, and other related areas that work with children and adults diagnosed with AD/HD facilitate the educational seminars. Central Florida CHADD is also working in conjunction with local area schools in order to coordinate care and support for teachers. CHADD will be dedicated to provide Orlando families with a free resource that is beneficial in assisting them in coping with their family situation.
